Why you need this training
A bleeding injury can happen anywhere. Life-threatening bleeding can happen in people injured in serious accidents or disasters. Instead of being a witness, you can become an immediate responder because you know how to STOP THE BLEED®.
The State of Washington passed a law requiring schools to have bleeding control kits and a certain amount of staff, typically school nurses, trained on bleeding control techniques.

By learning how to STOP THE BLEED®, you’ll gain the ability to:

- Act quickly and effectively to control bleeding

- Classes are live and in person.
- Instructors teach you three, quick bleeding control techniques.
- They check your movements as you practice bleeding control actions.
- Offer continuous guidance until you demonstrate the correct skills.
- Use specially developed training materials.

Classes are offered free of charge once a month — typically on the third Thursday of the month— at Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.
