The Providence Cancer Institute begins looking for COVID-19 vaccine

Research caregivers at the Providence Cancer Institute have switched gears from cancer and are now focusing on finding a vaccine for COVID-19, using a technique typically used for battling cancer. Dr. Bernard Fox and Dr. Rom Leidner have asked the federal government to approve their proposal for a vaccine -- although there are a lot of researchers working towards the first coronavirus vaccine, Leidner and Fox said that, as far as they know, their approach is unique.
