Biggest Challenges in Healthcare: Physician Burnout w/ Dr. Matthew Fradkin

Physician burnout has been a hot topic in healthcare as of late. In 2014, more than half of physicians in the U.S. had at least one symptom of professional burnout, and that number is expected to increase. A recent Leadership Survey by NEJM Catalyst found that 96% of healthcare executives, clinical leaders, and clinicians agree that this is a serious problem in the healthcare industry.

CIOs and other decision-makers are exhaustingly working to diagnose the core problem causing burnout, and are searching for solutions to alleviate the issue. However, there are so many controllable (and uncontrollable) factors to take into account.

We understand the complexity of the issue, but we had to ask ourselves: “Where are some areas we can start moving the needle to solve this issue today?”
