Swedish seeks plasma of COVID-19 patients who've recovered

Swedish Health Services has joined in the effort to get more patients who've recovered from the coronavirus to donate their plasma, which can be then be used for research and therapy. The first person in Washington state to donate her plasma provided it to Bloodworks Northwest.

“’I think doing the plasma donation or even doing the blood donation is extremely important right now,’ said Elizabeth Schneider, who recovered last month from COVID-19. More than 10,000 people in Washington are confirmed to have had coronavirus and now may be eligible to join this effort by donating their plasma for convalescent care.”
