Providence St. Joseph Hospital named Business of the Year
In recognition of more than 90 years of service to the community as well as its response to the most serious pandemic of our lives, Providence St. Joseph Hospital was named 2022 “Business of the Year” by the City of Orange and the Orange Chamber of Commerce.
The award was announced at the October 7 annual State of the City event held at Chapman University’s Musco Center for the Arts. A number of community leaders and elected officials attended the event.
Chief Nursing Officer Michelle Genova, RN, accepted the award on behalf of the non-profit hospital. Members of the Leadership Team, Chief of Medical Staff Dr. Peter Smethurst and Vice Chief of Medical Staff Dr. John Cross were also in attendance.
On behalf of the 5000 physicians, caregivers and volunteers at St. Joseph Hospital, it’s a true honor to receive this award,” stated Genova. “The Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange settled in this community and founded our hospital over 90 years ago. Our commitment to providing excellent care for our community remains as strong today as it was then.
