US Legislators Talk Telehealth Cost, Quality As Cutoff Nears

As the deadline for extending or making permanent some of the pandemic-era telehealth flexibilities in Medicare approaches, US lawmakers discuss telehealth cost, quality, and access issues. Dr. Eve Cunningham, group vice president and chief of virtual care and digital health at  Providence, emphasized that providing telehealth does not mean other overhead costs go away and that it takes resources to set up and manage a virtual care program.
