JJ’s story: Living the Mission

For those who know Joseph Pierce, or "JJ," it’s clear how deeply passionate he is about the things that matter most to him.

Born and raised in Texas, JJ grew up with family and faith at the center of his life. Since starting at Providence as a CNA in 2007, and after transitioning to an RN in 2009, JJ’s work has always been grounded in the organization’s Mission to serve all, especially those who are most in need. Being part of Providence’s Mission gives JJ a real sense of purpose, pushing him to offer compassionate care to everyone he meets.-

JJ is much more than just an RN at PRMCE—he’s a mentor and preceptor nurse, eager to pass on his knowledge to the next generation of health care professionals. His approach to teaching goes beyond clinical skills. He emphasizes empathy, kindness, and the importance of serving others with a heart of compassion.

Outside of work, JJ’s commitment to service extends to his church, where he actively volunteers with youth groups and foster families. Whether providing care in the hospital, mentoring new nurses, or spending time with his family, JJ’s faith-driven commitment to teaching and serving others is central to everything he does.
