Meet Dr. Ihab Alomari
Interventional Cardiologist
Medical Director, Structural Heart Program
Dr. Ihab Alomari grew up in Jordan. He is a highly trained interventional cardiologist, specializing in interventional and structural heart disease. Dr. Alomari received his medical degree from the University of Jordan and completed his internal medicine and cardiovascular fellowship at the University of New Mexico and his interventional cardiology fellowship at the University of California, Irvine.
Dr. Alomari chose medicine because he is passionate about helping people through innovations in medicine. During medical school, his best friend died of cardiomyopathy, which influenced his focus on the field of cardiology.
One of Dr. Alomari’s passions is building relationships with patients and helping those who suffer from heart disease, as well as being able to fix heart problems with cutting-edge, minimally invasive techniques. He is dedicated to his patients and treats each one as if they were his own family and has an impressive track record of providing high-quality care to all his patients.
Dr. Alomari has worked with the United Nations as a medical escort, helping refugees from different parts of the world settle in new countries. In his personal time, he enjoys fishing, travelling and exercising. He was awarded the Southern California Top Doctors in 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024.
Meet Chelsea Zimmerman, MSN, APRN, AGACNP-BC, CCRN
Structural Heart Nurse Practitioner
Chelsea is a native of South Orange County and received her bachelor’s and master’s nursing degrees from California State University, Long Beach. With a wealth of experience from 20 years of bedside critical care nursing, Chelsea is a dedicated board-certified acute care nurse practitioner with a specialized focus on structural heart interventions. She combines advanced clinical skills with a passion for providing comprehensive, patient-centered care. She joined Providence Mission Hospital in 2018 and played a pivotal role in helping to build, launch and grow the Structural Heart program which encompasses Transcatheter Aortic Valve replacement (TAVR) and Watchman procedures.
In her free time, Chelsea enjoys spending time with her family, camping, hiking, running and target shooting-rifle, pistol and archery. She’s always looking for the next fun adventure.
Meet Danielle Ghan, BSN, RN, PCCN
Structural Heart Nurse Navigator
Danielle grew up in Southern California and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor’s in nursing from California State University, Dominguez Hills. Prior to becoming the nurse navigator for the Structural Heart program, she was one of Mission’s own, taking care of patients on the cardiac telemetry and definitive stepdown units. Before Danielle’s nursing career began, she graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City and owned her own aesthetics practice.
As the nurse navigator for Structural Heart, Danielle ensures smooth coordination throughout the pre- and post-procedure encounters and provides patients with guidance and support. Danielle's compassionate approach and exceptional communication skills make her an asset in the program. Danielle provides patients with a sense of comfort and reassurance throughout their health care journey.
Danielle enjoys spending her spare time with her family, camping, practicing yoga, running at the beach, reading, or listening to health and wellness podcasts.
