Providence Mission Hospital recognized for excellence in stroke and heart failure care
Providence Mission Hospital is proud to once again be recognized by the American Heart Association’s Get With The Guidelines® program for excellence in stroke and cardiovascular care. This year’s honors include Stroke Gold Plus with Target: Stroke Honor Roll Elite Plus, Advanced Therapy and Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll, as well as Heart Failure Silver Plus with Target: Heart Failure Optimal and Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll.
These national recognitions reflect a sustained commitment to providing care that follows the latest research-based guidelines, helping support better outcomes for patients experiencing stroke or heart failure. They also speak to the skill, preparation and teamwork required to respond quickly in some of life’s most urgent moments.
Behind every award is a team of caregivers and physicians who bring clinical expertise, urgency and compassion to each patient encounter. Their dedication helps ensure our patients and families receive the care they need, when they need it most.
“These recognitions reflect the extraordinary teamwork that takes place across our ministry every day,” said Dr. Basit Rahim, neurologist and Medical Director of Providence Mission Hospital’s stroke program. “From the moment we hear ‘Code Stroke,’ our team responds with focus, compassion and urgency to provide the best possible care. That consistent dedication — for every patient, every day — speaks to the heart our caregivers and providers bring to their work and to the deep commitment we share for caring for our community.”
Thank you to our incredible caregivers and physicians for bringing your hearts to this work every day and for caring for our community with compassion, dedication and purpose.
