Welcoming a new cardiologist to Lewis County

Patients in Lewis County now have greater access to expert heart and vascular care with the addition of Muhammad Masaud Mohyuddin, M.D., who joined Providence Cardiology Associates in Centralia in September.

A highly trained cardiologist with extensive experience in cardiovascular medicine, Dr. Mohyuddin brings expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide range of heart conditions, including complex coronary artery disease. His arrival strengthens Providence's commitment to providing advanced specialty care close to home and expanding access to cardiovascular services throughout the region.

A background of clinical excellence

Dr. Mohyuddin earned his medical degree from Aga Khan University Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan, before completing his Internal Medicine residency at Georgetown University/MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C. He went on to complete fellowships in cardiovascular disease at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and interventional cardiology at East Carolina University.

Throughout his training, Dr. Mohyuddin cared for patients across both inpatient and outpatient settings and was selected to serve as Chief Cardiology Fellow, reflecting his dedication to clinical excellence, leadership and education.

His clinical interests include comprehensive cardiovascular care, advanced diagnostic testing and minimally invasive, catheter-based procedures used to treat conditions such as heart attacks and severe angina. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is board certified in Adult Comprehensive Echocardiography through the National Board of Echocardiography.

A patient-centered approach

For Dr. Mohyuddin, effective cardiovascular care starts with listening.

"My goal is to provide every patient with the same care I would want for my own family," he said. "Care that combines compassion, clear communication and the latest evidence-based treatments."

Having trained and practiced in multiple regions across the country, Dr. Mohyuddin brings experience caring for diverse patient populations and believes strongly in developing treatment plans that reflect each patient's unique needs and circumstances.
