What is the Providence Children's Center?

The Providence Children's Center is a place where kids and families can learn about health and wellness in a fun and interactive way. The center — located in the Providence Pavilion for Women & Children in Everett — offers a variety of programs and services, such as health screenings, nutrition counseling, fitness classes, and more. The center is open to the public and welcomes children and their guardians who want to improve their health and happiness.

Join a Free Group Class

The classes are led by speech, occupational, and physical therapists, as well as family resources coordinators who guide kids through different activities and exercises. Guardians can choose from a range of needs and interests, such as communication, sports, speech and more. The classes are suitable for pediatric-aged children and all skill levels. The child’s guardian will accompany the child during each session.

Benefits of group classes:

  • Friendship: Your child plays with others besides their parents and siblings.
  • Socialization: Children learn valuable skills, such as how to share and take turns.
  • Learning: Children develop the skills they need for success in preschool and kindergarten.
  • Low stress parent-child activity: Children play and learn without worrying about their parents leaving.
  • Seek advice and share experiences: Meet other parents whose children are experiencing similar things.
