Providence stroke and diabetes programs earn national recognition
Providence received five American Heart Association (AHA) Get With The Guidelines® achievement awards for its commitment to following up-to-date, research-based guidelines for the treatment of heart disease and stroke. Following these best practices saves lives, shortens recovery time, and leads to few hospital readmissions.
“This national recognition reflects our commitment to provide excellent heart and stroke care,” said Susan Stacey, Providence chief executive of the Inland Northwest. “I’m proud of our teams for putting these best practices to work to ensure more people live longer, healthier lives.”
For the 14th year in a row, American Heart Association/American Stroke Association honored Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center and Children’s Hospital with the Get With The Guidelines® Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award.
