Providence helps shape the future of health care for the Inland Northwest
In April, Providence joined 30 local leaders on a trip to Washington, D.C. to meet with our local representatives and advocate for federal legislation that is important to the greater Spokane community. This opportunity was part of Greater Spokane Inc.’s (GSI) D.C. Fly-In event.
Susan Stacey, Providence chief executive for the Inland Northwest, and Beth Hegde, Providence communication director, met with Washington representatives, including Derek Kilmer, Dan Newhouse, Cathy McMorris Rogers, and Patty Murray.
Medicaid reimbursement rates and caregiver licensing laws were some of the key topics discussed.
Participating in this trip helped demonstrate how Providence is joining local businesses and organizations to work with lawmakers to advocate for what’s best for the Inland Northwest.
Providence was proud to be a sponsor of this event. Learn about other ways we’re serving the community by visiting us online.
