At the Providence Community Teaching Kitchen, improving health means more than learning what to put on your plate. For Jaye, nutrition education, healthy food and supportive relationships have helped build confidence and create lasting change.

After being diagnosed with atherosclerosis and high blood pressure, Jaye was referred to the Community Teaching Kitchen at Providence Milwaukie Hospital.

Through nutrition education, support from dietitians and access to a healthy food pantry, she gained practical tools to improve her health.

The program has also supported Jaye as she celebrates one year of sobriety, providing structure and connection during her recovery.

More than anything, Jaye found a community where she feels supported, encouraged and connected.

Her experience shows how nutritious food, education and meaningful relationships can support lasting wellbeing.
