Providence Saint John's Earns National Recognition in U.S. News & World Report's 2026-27 Best Hospitals Rankings

Providence Saint John's Health Center earned national recognition in U.S. News & World Report's 2026-27 Best Hospitals rankings and was named among the top nine hospitals in Los Angeles and Orange counties and the top 14 hospitals in California. Providence Saint John's was also nationall ranked No. 19 in orthopedics and No. 33 in urology, with orthopedics rising from No. 45 to No. 19 in the nation.
Orthopedics also earned specialty regional rankings among the top five programs in California and the top three in Los Angeles. In addition, Saint John's earned a high-performing specialty designation in geriatrics.
The health center received high-performing ratings in 18 procedures and conditions: back surgery (spinal fusion), colon cancer surgery, ear, nose and throat surgery, gynecological cancer surgery, heart arrhythmia, heart attack, heart failure, hip fracture, hip replacement, kidney failure, knee replacement, lung cancer surgery, maternity, pacemaker implantation, pneumonia, prostate cancer surgery, stroke and transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR).
U.S. News & World Report evaluates hospitals based on patient outcomes, patient experience, nursing care and other quality measures to help patients make informed decisions about their care. The annual rankings recognize hospitals that demonstrate excellence across a range of specialities, procedures and conditions.
