PROVIDENCE FAMILY OF ORGANIZATIONS -- Providence is committed to ensuring we continually improve Epic so that it can be used to increase patient safety as well as provider satisfaction. Through a partnership with KLAS Research, Providence is administering an EHR experience survey to all physicians, providers, nurses and MAs that will support our efforts to improve our provider experience with the EHR.

Frequently asked questions
Q: What is the EHR experience survey?
A: This survey is designed to learn how Providence can optimize our EHR to improve patient safety, provide a higher quality of care and improve provider and caregiver efficiency. It is administered by KLAS – a third-party vendor that works to improve healthcare by researching, reflecting, and amplifying the provider and caregiver voice.
Q: How can I access the EHR experience survey?
A: Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), Nurses and MAs are invited to participate in the survey by clicking here.
Q: How long will the survey take?
A: This survey should take no longer than 5-10 minutes.
Q: Is this survey mandatory?
A: No, this survey is optional for all physicians, providers, nurses and MAs across Providence and the Providence Clinical Network. We greatly appreciate you taking the time to share your insights as we strive to improve the EHR for you and your teams.
Q: How is this survey different from the Provider Survey or Caregiver Engagement Survey?
A: While the Provider Survey and Caregiver Engagement Survey are designed to help us understand your overall experience with Providence and our family of organizations, this survey is focused solely on your experience with the EHR – a strategic focus of Providence. Results from this survey will directly guide our future actions concerning the Providence Epic EHR initiative.
Q: Who is administering this survey?
A: This research is being administered by KLAS Research, in partnership with our Informatics leaders. Because of our desire to make your experience exceptional, Providence continues to work with the KLAS Arch Collaborative - a national effort to benchmark physicians’ experiences with their EHR. This allows your feedback to have national relevance and to be collected anonymously if you wish.
